Hot Wheels Cars in the Stores

Welcome back dear Hot Wheels collectors and all my readers. Because it is the first time we see each other this year i wish you all a Happy 2015. I hope this new year is going to be better for us as collectors and with out lives. So, how is the start of the new year ?

Well, if you ask me this start of the year is not that great, collecting wise, the same problems of not finding anything new, actually so far nothing from the 2015 line of Hot Wheels cars. I gathered a few pictures on how the stores looked like at Christmas, where normally should be that time were the pegs are full with toys. Here it was ok, but that was the time, until next Christmas probably, when i am going to see those pegs as full again.

Nice variety of sets

Can you guess what set is that ?

No Drag Buses in those Color Shifters cars

As you can see we did get a normal batch of short card Hot Wheels, some Color Shifters (unfortunately no Drag Buses), Monster Jams and a few cool track sets and play sets. Among these sets were also new for me, the Workshops – Track Builder sets. No pictures of those cause they were very high and i couldn't reach there without the employees spotting me.

This track set doesn't need batteries

In this last picture you can see three more sets with one of the most interesting ones, Hot Wheels Turbine Twister. It has some time since it has made an appearance, but it still holds a high price and it keeps me far from being able to get it. The pegs looked good for that period, but to bad i will not be able to see that again very soon.

In my next post i will try to show you all the Hot Wheels cars i managed to find in the last couple of months, including Christmas period. Don't worry, it is not going to be a pic heavy post and you will be very surprised to see the results, at least compared to some of you, US collectors.
This is all for today, thanks for reading and don't forget you can always find me on YouTube as well, were i upload regularly there Hot Wheels finds, as well as many other interesting and funny videos with track sets and play sets.
Happy collecting and let me know with a comment, how were your stores during the Christmas period?!

Hot Wheels Finds - Finally a New 2014 Treasure Hunt

Hello and welcome back to my blog. Sorry i haven't post anything in a while, but i have been busy with, well with life and all that comes with it, so my time to spend on this hobby of collecting Hot Wheels cars was limited. Also the stores are bad, but it has become something normal around here. They had started to arrange the pegs for the holidays and for Christmas, the toy shelves had to be expanded, thus increasing the space for Hot Wheels as well.
I was there in the stores and i managed to find some cars i was after, not that many, but very important to me.

Hot Wheels cars for mix "F" & "G"

The mixes for the short cards Hot Wheels are different, from what i know, from the American long carded ones and they are closer to the International cars. The Toyota 2000GT and the Batman Tumbler both appear in mix "F", as well as in mix "G". The Lamborghini Veneno appears in the "Q" mix and the Carbonic appears both in mix "P" and "Q".

Hot Wheels for mix "P" & "Q"

I also found a Hot Wheels Treasure Hunt after a long time of absence, basically since the first Treasure Hunt of the 2014. That is La Fasta, the Treasure Hunt for mix "P". Obviously all on short cards. Still no sign of Super Treasure Hunts around here.

Latest Treasure Hunt

As you saw above it is really tough to categorize a specific car at one specific mix if they seem to appear in more than one and on its back, or anywhere on the card it doesn't have nothing noted with the mix letter. As well we don't get all the mixes around here and that way it is really hard to try and complete a series, like the Treasure Hunts one for example.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures and reading, i have also made videos of these finds and many others more, with many Hot Wheels related subjects, FAQs, track sets and play sets on my YouTube channel : https://www.youtube.com/10h41
Leave a comment and let me know what are your latest Hot Wheels finds, or any other die-cast. Enjoy this hobby and happy collecting.

Hot Wheels Trick Tracks Sets

Hello collectors and welcome back. We have talked here about Hot Wheels track sets and play sets and how we can have fun with them, but i only showed you two examples : a motorized track set - Acceleracers Acceledrome and a play set - Crashin' Big Rig Camion Crash. Well, in this post i want to show you other sets that bring a lot of fun from Hot Wheels and those are the Trick Tracks sets.

The Hot Wheels Trick Tracks sets are sets that contain an action, a trick made out of two or more parts, usually launching the cars in the air, with an increased fun factor. The main attraction for these sets is that they can be connected together, creating huge layouts. They don't need to be connected in a specific order and they can be rearranged every time you put the sets together. Some of the most known Trick Tracks sets are the Dino sets. As the name shows there are sets with the dinosaurs theme and they can be connected together to create huge dinosaur layouts with awesome stunts, tricks and actions. The Dino sets can be connected together with other Trick Tracks sets, like the Hammer & Hoop set.

                                                    Hammer & Hoop Track Set

                                              BackBone Slide Track Set

I haven't done a video with all of them connected so far, but it is set for the near future. Let me know in the comments what do you think about the Hot Wheels Trick Tracks sets and also let me know how many of them you have so far and if you have connected all of them together.
Happy collecting and have fun playing with your Hot Wheels.

Hot Wheels Track Sets and Play Sets

Hello collectors and welcome back to my blog. Today i want to show you a few ways you can have more fun with your cars. Just the simple fact of collecting the cars it is fun, with hunting for them in the stores, looking at them at home or categorize them, but there is another way of having fun with them and that is using the Track Sets and Play Sets. They are in a very big number out there, for all the tastes, needs and possibilities. We are going to see two of them and i will let you be the judge of which is the most fun.

Acceleracers AcceleDrome Track Set

Crashin' Big Rig Camion Crash Play Set

The Acceleracers track set is a motorized one, with many pieces and it is difficult to put together without the instructions sheet, it also requires 4 D batteries and 3 C batteries, it is not that cheap and the price is raised for the extra batteries. But once all these are ignored and resolved it is an awesome track to play with, it makes a lot of sound, you can add many cars on the tracks and it can be played with a friend, racing each other. It also takes a lot of space, so it can not be played everywhere, you just need the right space for it. The action of this set is very spectacular and you can see that very well by watching the video. A problem comes when you finished playing and you want to store it, it must be put in the original box, or in any other boxes to store all the pieces that come with it, because if you lose some important pieces it might be impossible to find spare parts or to make it work as it was originally intended, the box is huge and it takes a lot of space.

The Crashin' Big Rig play set is an easy to get set, it is a lot cheaper than the track set shown above, it doesn't require any batteries, so no extra cost, it doesn't make to much sound and it doesn't have any automated parts, it can be used by the younger kids very easy. Also the instructions sheet is not needed, because it comes already assembled, ready to be played with. The action is simple, exactly as you can see in the video. It is fun as well, but nothing spectacular like the AcceleDrome track set. It is small, it can be played on any surface and after playing it can be easily be stored on a shelf, under the bed or in any other corner of the room.

Hope you enjoyed reading and watching the videos. In the end the choice is yours and it depends on your likes, needs and possibilities. Leave a comment and let me know which one you prefer the most. Happy collecting and have fun with your Hot Wheels.

Hot Wheels Mutant Machines & Moto Track Stars

Lately i am starting to see more and more special series from Hot Wheels around here, well for me a special series is everything from Hot Wheels out of the ordinary, something else besides mainlines. Welcome back to my little blog page, in today's post i will show you some of these different series that i came upon the other days.

Moto Track Stars

What are these Moto Track Stars ? Well they are these very cool motorcycles, Tron like ones, with big and wide wheels. And judging by their name and appearance (Badlander, Axle, Atomix, Team Red/Blue)i would say they are fantasy motorcycles, probably based of a cartoon or animated movie, if they are not based on a past movie, they will probably be in the future. I didn't pick any at home to try them out and give you a more close-up opinion, the pictures are in store footage, but i must say i like how they look, they seem very eye catching for the kids.

Mutant Machines

What are these Mutant Machines ? Well they are probably normal cars that have suffered mutations ... no way, they are just these funny Creature Cars (Scorpedo, Street Shark, Commander Croc) that can bend, slither and stretch. If you guys remember the Rapid Transit trains, well these are something similar, but smaller and lighter, meaning they can connect together, with the possibility of making a long line with them. Even in their packaging they have the blister in the shape of a curve to show you how they bend.

New cool and fun Track Sets

Of course Hot Wheels have also released track sets and play sets for each of them, so you can try them out, play with them and have fun. They look very fun, but the prices here are not the ones to make you grab them as soon as you see them, they come at around 10$ each, as for the sets it is not even worth mentioning the prices. As you can see in one of the pictures we also have other kind of series, like the Color Shifters, but that will be the subject for another post.

Thank you for reading. Let me know in the comments section if you have tried these new toys from Hot Wheels and if you think they are worth buying. Happy collecting and have fun.
